Disk Storage
Disk space refers to the amount of server disk storage your account is allocated. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio clips, POP mail messages, site logs, SQL database and all other files that make up your Web site. Additional space can be purchased for any account.
Site Control Panel
Allows site administrators to administer site functions such as change or add logins, DSN's, modify file and folder permissions, view disk and bandwidth usage.
Static IP Address
A unique IP is assigned to your site, allowing you purchase a secure certificate and to secure your site via your own SSL.
24/7 Techincal Support
Windows Lite Plans come with true 24/7 email and LiveHelp support. All other plans come with true 24/7 telephone, email and LiveHelp support.
Monthly Data Transfer
Gotham Web Services does not penalize your website's success and gives you ample data transfer for your your site. Additional bandwidth may be purchased for any account.
E-mail POP3 Accounts
Each of our hosting packages comes with unique POP3 E-Mail accounts, in addition to E-Mail forwarding. Additional POP3 E-Mail accounts can be purchased for $2 per account. Email accounts are not available on parked domains or domain pointers.
E-mail Autoresponders
Autoresponders may be used to send automated responses to incoming e-mail sent to a specific address.
E-mail Aliasing and Forwarding
An e-mail forward is an address @yourdomain.com that gets routed by our mail server to a destination outside of yourdomain.com. If the address is being routed to an address within your domain this would be considered an e-mail alias.
Webmail
Web Mail is a web based e-mail client that allows you to read and send e-mail from any of your pre-existing POP3 accounts. This feature is available on all of our accounts.
Virus Protected Email
All inbound and outbound email is scanned for viruses. Should our systems detect a virus, you would be immediately notified via email with details of the sender and the virus information itself.
Anti-Spam Protection
Anti-Spam protection is now standard on all our Windows based hosting accounts at no additional charge. Setting up spam filters is easy, and can be added at either a user level or a domain level. All our Windows Hosting plans come with configurable spam filters with exception of the Windows Lite Plan.
FTP Accounts
Do you need multiple FTP accounts for different users? No problem, each account comes with FTP accounts.
FrontPage Extensions
All accounts come with the most current FrontPage extensions installed.
Dreamweaver
Support for different html editors such as Visual Studio and Dreamweaver.
Detailed Web Statistics
Comprehensive reports on your website visitor demographics using SmarterStats. View who is on the website and access crucial statistics like where your site visitors are coming from, how long they stay and what pages they visit.
Domain Pointers
These allow webmasters who own more than one domain to host them using the same resources as their main account. These accounts are NOT to be used as resellable accounts. They will be accessible with the same user name and password as the default account.
DNS Parking
Many sites may benefit by having more than one domain pointing to their site.
SSL Encryption
Secure Socket Layers (SSL) allows you to encrypt credit card numbers or other confidential documents so that it is impossible to intercept during a transmission.
CGI Local Directory
All customers have access to their own cgi-local bin in which you may place your own custom CGI scripts. CGI is often used to accomplish tasks which are not supported by basic HTML, such as a "hit" counter or guest book. You may use this directory to set up scripts that you write or find elsewhere on the Web.

Active Server Pages can provide many of the same features that CGI does on UNIX servers. Microsoft has many ASP codes available for public use and almost every program within the Visual Studio suite can create ASP programs for use via the web. Active components are small programs that can also be used via the web.
